Before naming apps, it helps to define what you should measure. A good text-to-speech app for iPhone does a few things well, and no app does all of them perfectly:

• Voice quality. Does the voice sound natural enough for long listening sessions? Can you switch voices per book? Are the voices on-device or streaming from a server?
